Today star Renee Bargh gives birth to a daughter - and reveals the newborn's unique name

Today Show star Renee Bargh has given birth to her second child.

The 38-year-old entertainment reporter took to Instagram on Thursday morning to share images of her newborn daughter - and reveal the bub's unique name: Soléil.

'Soléil James Lange,' began Bargh's post.

'Our beautiful sunshine girl joined us earthside a week early in the most magical birth,' she continued. 

'Born peacefully at home in the water, surrounded by love.'

Renee then went on to thank her partner Andrew Lange, writing, 'My love [Andrew] my anchor and the most incredible birth partner, we did it!'

Entertainment figures were quick to offer their congratulations to the red carpet fixture.

'Congrats darling x,' wrote Bec Judd.  

'She’s here! Amazing! You did it. So happy for you guys. She is perfect,' added Mortal Kombat actress Jessica McNamee.

'Congratulations beautiful,' chimed in The Bachelor and Home and Away alum Sam Frost. 

Renee and Andrew welcomed son Tide in March 2023. 

Renee revealed her second pregnancy at last year's Logie Awards as she debuted her baby bump on the red carpet.

Taking to Instagram at the time, Renee also shared a short video in which she first revealed her baby bump and revealed she is due to welcome a baby girl.

Captioning the sweet clip, Renee wrote: 'Baby girl's first red carpet,' revealing she was expecting a sister for little Tide. 

The post was met with a flurry of well wishes from followers who were quick to gush over the exciting news.

'Did someone say girl!?!? Omg babe.. biggest congrats… beyond happy for the three of you. Then becomes four… the best. Congrats mama,' one follower wrote. 

Another chimed in with: 'Gorgeous and sweet girl… Passing those beautiful genes on to another gorgeous & sweet girl! 

'Congratulations and I am always sending you my love and best wishes!'

The sweet sentiments didn't stop there either with a third offering: 'You’re glowing and so so gorgeous, congratulations beautiful.' 

In a post to Instagram at the time, Renee shared intimate images from the birth and revealed that the baby arrived two weeks earlier.

The television presenter wrote in her caption: 'Tide Thomas Lange. Almost two weeks of being your mum and dad.

'All the clichés they tell you are true… your heart truly does expand, the love for your partner grows exponentially, time stands still.

'You can't imagine your life before they existed and you'll do anything to protect this tiny human.

'We'll be over here in the love bubble staring at our little man until further notice' she concluded.

Renee was a red carpet correspondent for American entertainment news show Extra from 2010 to 2020, a role that saw her win two Emmys.

Since returning to Australia during the Covid pandemic, she has worked as a fill-in entertainment presenter for Nine's Today show.

Her other notable roles include co-hosting the ninth season of The Voice Australia in 2020 alongside Darren McMullen.

She started her career as a presenter for Australian music network Channel [V].

In April 2021, she competed in the eighteenth season of Dancing with the Stars.
