Adam Brody and Leighton Meester outdo his Nobody Wants This kiss as they celebrate Critics Choice Awards win

Adam Brody had fans swooning in Nobody Wants This for delivering the best first kiss scene in years - and now it's pretty clear those skills aren't acting.

The 44-year-old, who won Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in the hit Netflix rom-com Nobody Wants This, gave his wife Leighton Meester a passionate kiss after accepting his award.

In the short clip posted by the Hollywood Reporter, Brody grabs Meester around the waist as he kisses her, before they sweetly embrace.

The swoon-worthy moment bore an uncanny resemblance to his famous on-screen smooch with Kristen Bell in the second episode of Nobody Wants This.

Delighted fans celebrated their kiss, which was captured in videos in which the two are seen passionately embracing after Brody's win, with fans gushing over the steamy kiss.

'I love them! And it’s nice to see them share a moment of joy after losing their home in the fires. Cherish each other,' one user wrote.

'Everybody wants this kind of love,' added another.

'Love this! That show is so good and wholesome! So great!! Congratulations to him,' gushed someone else.

The heartthrob has made a comeback in the hugely successful series, which also stars Kristen Bell.

In his speech, he expressed his 'love' for Meester and their family in a heartfelt speech.

The win was especially emotional for the couple as it comes just weeks after their Pacific Palisades home was destroyed by the devastating LA wildfires.

Brody began by thanking the Critics Choice Association for the honor before heaping praise on Netflix and Nobody Wants This' dedicated cast and crew.

The O.C. hunk also teased that production on season two of the hit series will kick off in 'a few weeks.'

'Thank you to our lovely, lovely, lovely cast and crew. We had the pleasure, the immense pleasure filming this in Los Angeles. Can't wait to run it back with you guys in a few weeks,' he said, before turning his attention to series creator Erin Foster.

'Thank you to Erin Foster. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for your incredible, unique voice. Thank you for making me part of your story.'

He then thanked his onscreen love interest, Kristen Bell, for 'believing' in him.

'Thank you for your talent. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your belief in me. This is a Hanukkah present for you,' Brody joked, while gesturing to his trophy.

When asked, though, about what it was like to kiss his close friend on camera, he revealed it was not quite as awkward since they were friends.

'I think because we know each other it's less strange, as strange as that might sound, I don't know,' Brody admitted.

'I think there's some trust there, there's some familiarity,' Brody added.
