You've waited three-and-a-half years, and finally, Stranger Things is back. Season 5 is the final season of the show, so expect the action to escalate to epic proportions. I mean, more epic than what Hawkins, Indiana, is used to.

The global hit series from Netflix revealed the origin story of both the Upside Down and Vecna in its fourth season, which was also its darkest installment. I'm uncertain if the new episodes will match that gruesome tone, but I should remind you that the season 4 finale ended with the town cracking open, providing a new entry point for the creatures of the Upside Down into our world.

What could possibly go wrong? Season 5 will find Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Steve, Hopper and the rest on a mission to find the villainous Vecna, who has up and disappeared. Get ready for hunting season.

Season 5 of Stranger Things will premiere in three volumes: four episodes drop tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 26. Three episodes premiere on Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25. The series finale drops on New Year's Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 31. New episodes premiere at unusual times, compared to the previous seasons. Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 will all premiere at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
